Especially Ghost Busters. He probably regrets that the most. But, it didn’t happened for a reason. As much as I love Eddie Murphy, I can’t see him, being in Ghostbusters.

Who was he asked to play in Roger Rabbit? Would not have been nearly as good without Hoskins as the straight man hard boiled detective.

I think skipping Ghostbusters was for the best, I’d hate to have missed out on Eddie as Axel Foley/Beverly Hills Cop.
As much as I love Chris Tucker in the role, I do wonder what a Rush Hour with Eddie Murphy would have looked like.
I can’t picture Roger Rabbit without Bob Hoskins as Eddie Valiant.
All in all though, I think things worked out for the best.

Rush hour wouldn’t have been as good. Roger rabbit either. Ghostbusters was written for him and yeah, could’ve been good. Ernie was good though.

I feel like he keeps adding to this list as time goes by. I remember a couple of years ago it was just Ghostbusters

We wouldn’t have gotten Beverly Hills Cop if he was in Ghostbusters. So, that was worth it.
The chemistry between Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan is what made Rush Hour so good. Not sure how Eddie would fit into that.
And I don’t know which role he would have played in Roger Rabbit, but if it was the Bob Hoskins character, that would be a vastly different movie, and I’m not sure it would have worked.

Rush Hour is the only one of those I could see him in but I think Chris Tucker brought something to it that you just can’t imagine it without him

I’m so glad Eddie Murphy didn’t ruin Ghostbusters or Roger Rabbit.

As a huge fan of Ernie Hudson as both an actor and a kind & decent human being, I’m glad Eddie passed on “Ghostbusters”.
