This sort of thinking about babies making decisions also eventually leads to the the kind of people who decide to start disciplining their kids almost from birth with ‘blanket training’ and stuff because they think babies secretly know how to manipulate people and act badly and are making choices.
Tiny babies don’t make decisions; they’re babies. They have less understanding of the world than the average hamster.

After reading this article all I can say is holy shit. I will never understand the degree of narcissism and willful ignorance required to actively choose to disregard thousands of years of medical knowledge because you think you know better.
I wonder if anyone can total up the number of views on these channels and divide by the number of babies dying linked to them. I wonder how many views each childs life was worth.

I had a friend who insisted on a home birth about a decade ago, and yes, the baby died. She was in labour for 2 days and the cord ripped as she was being born. The baby essentially suffocated. They did call an ambulance after the baby was out as my friend went in to shock. She was in hospital, baby was transferred to another hospital and kept on life support for 10 days. The whole thing was a completely avoidable tragedy.
We lost touch but I know she did eventually have another baby a few years later. Thankfully healthy and born in hospital, but my god, I can’t help but think it took *way* too much for her to stop assuming that everything natural was automatically good. 😵💫

I think the word she meant to use is intentionally. Adults are the only ones who join willingly. I wonder how her son will feel when he grows up and learns the truth about his severe disability.
So, WTF! We in 3rd third-world country are fighting for the proper health and medical infrastructure for safe birth because as lots of parts of the country have only had these „wild“ births available, which have a huge mortality rate during childbirth of both mother and baby!
Fucking first-world people are going crazy due to the lots of top service they have received without doing anything!
Their older generation suffered the hard lesson of life and built you a proper functioning system, and this generation is there to fuck it all up!
Why are these people moving backwards? This period of time is a mess. Doing uneducated things just for content and views without thinking of the actual consequences.
