Ah, yes… That will surely help with the Fentanyl Emergency he declared in January which is the source of his ability to sign all these Executive Orders.

AI development is privately-funded Manhattan Project to develop world changing/world ending tech. The US government can’t risk individual states passing laws that would derail our race to beat the Chinese.

Let the White House sue the states then? If it wants a moratorium on AI regulations, the federal government can pass a law putting that moratorium in place.
Oh wait, it already tried to pass a law and the Senate shot that down by a vote of 99-1.

Everyone seems supportive of pornhubs attempt to avoid age verification, there was just a thread today about devices doing the verification for them, most comments complained **it’s not feasible for every website to figure out the laws for each state** and have users authenticate each website separately
Now when it comes to AI everyone supports an ultra-broken up eco system with 50 versions of Claude, 50 versions of cursor, and 50 versions of ChatGPT. And users having to navigate which version they’re allowed to use?

When these state laws are unconstitutional or could be successfully challenged on other grounds, the tech industry is very quick to challenge them in court on their own. It seems unlikely that there are state level laws that are actively restricting AI in a way that could successfully challenged in court and the tech industry didn’t see worth trying to challenge (since they figured they would lose) for the federal government to step in, so it is hard to believe that these lawsuits will go anywhere.

More like threatening taxpayers with frivolous lawsuits that have no chance of winning. His advisors know damn well how executive orders work, which tells me he is attempting to weaponize courts to launch financial attacks against the people. Abuse of process is illegal in most normal circumstances.
Just more mounting evidence that this old bitter piece of shit is still acting on his malicious tamper tantrum revenge plot against the country.
Don’t put the guy you tried to send to prison into power, just like how you wouldn’t make a fired employee the CEO of your company without expecting them to drive said company into the ground as an act of petty revenge. Do Not Hire lists exist for this very reason.
