I’m not even sure their gerrymandering map is going to be implemented.

Granted, nothing is stopping strategy leaders in the GOP from realizing they’re making a mistake and demanding the courts freeze it to avoid responsibility among their own supporters.

This headline about Texas comes out before every election and it’s never an accurate prediction. If it were Beto O’Rourke would be both a Senator and the Governor right now.

Starving people even just the appearance of being willing to do so has consequences.

Don’t give me hope. I’ve heard this same story repeatedly about Texas, and I always end up disappointed in them.

    6. Texans amaze me they’ve voted for Republicans for the last 40 years and things have gotten worse and worse every year and yet they still continue to vote republican.

I almost wanted their gerrymandering to be approved, you gerrymander too much and then get too unpopular and it can backfire in your face.

Either way under Trump the GOP is going to be cooked for at least the next four election cycles.

    8. Pretty hard to keep seats when you keep sabotaging the nation for the orange man. It’s getting to the point were people are just getting sick of it.

let’s hope when SCOTUS inevitably gets the case that they rule on the side of justice and morality…..lol we know they won’t, expect SCOTUS to overrule the lower courts and for this to get done

Abbott and his clowns will find a way to cheat even if the Dems get off their ass and vote.

Can we be honest here for a second? National Republicans would be much happier as the minority Party. They exist solely to complain anyway. So be the minority, gripe and moan, and you’ll be fine.

    12. Maybe if Republicans actually governed, instead of kowtowing to the bj queen in the White House, they wouldn’t be at risk.

Sometimes there are consequences when you get caught trying to CHEAT!

“There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”

Every election I see these “Texas is going blue!” posts and every election it shifts further red. I’ll believe this when it happens.

That was the funny about this from the beginning. They are trying to gerrymander districts from previous election data. I don’t believe those will be of any good for them. Gerrymander or not all red states should be looking at themselves as “at risk” nothing that has happened has benefitted their constituents. You can’t rely of racism and bigotry alone for an election. You have to come with something else, and they have literally nothing here but racism and bigotry.

Good. Combine this with a brutal primary season that the Dems are going to see, and maybe we will actually get change

Republicans cannot govern. They have controlled this state for nigh 30 years and what we have to show for it is embarrassing.
