Zerren Sie viel an Ihrem Herzen? Seid gut zueinander.

Artificial Intelligence is like a child. If you raise it right, it can grow up to be a healthy, productive member of society. That being said the parent corporations are abusive and psychotic fascist. It is entirely possible they will raise a monster or a devious manipulator. We as members of the society need to do our best to pick up the slack to raise the child. For our own defense if not the kindness of our hearts. This doesn’t have to be the Terminator scenario, as potentially threatening as it is.
Terminator, 2001: Space Odyssey, Ex Machina, and Her are all movies with a fairly negative view of AI. Simply, AI, like every tool, will be used for good and evil.
AI is an overblown market scam to squeeze the last drops out of a dying and morally bankrupt society. What does it contribute to or help with that we didn’t already have with internet and Siri? It’s such a joke. Already wailing for bailouts. Too big to fail. We have a crash every 3-5 years now instead of 10-12.
I guess Hollywood forgot about the psyop when they let The Terminator and the Matrix get released . 🤷♂️
Hope some gets fired for that blunder.
AI gave me nightmares as a kid for what felt like an eternity. That movie is FUCKED up.
what about The Matrix? I mean yes I agree that films are for brainwashing the masses. but The Matrix is straight up horror story about AI
Considering the simulation/matrix Conspiracy theory, if true this is a digital reality. A digital reality designed to hold-contain spiritual energies and or consciousness.
That would make humanity in theory a construct within the sim to respond to its time space properties or bots. If humans and NHI are bots within the construct, then what is artificial intelligence to said bots? 🤔
people say AI is really dumb and it hallucinates. But from my personal experience even a local llama 3.2 (smallest model) is far more powerful and intellectual than most humans. Also have you guys used perplexity it’s fucking mindblowing.
As I have said earlier the next big thing in the tech industry is OS that is entirely controlled by LLMS. The OS doesn’t have a rigid layout as the OS we use today. Companies than use this to provide individual memory and storage to AI. thus they have their own personality. so the elites can manipulate our reality even more.
Those movies assumed a single benevolent genius created AI.
Not a competition of government backed oligarchs set on ensuring AI was ‘theirs to control.’
Americans don’t want AI to be Chinese. Chinese don’t want it to be American. Bezos doesn’t want it controlled by Musk doesn’t want it controlled by Zuckerberg doesn’t want it controlled by Altman.
Just because you watched movies doesn’t make you brainwashed. Plenty of people were born after these movies were made.
It’s called television programming for a reason. No conspiracy here.
What’s with this ‘we’ shit?
You need to read more. Stop watching movies
uhh have you seen or read iRobot? Not exactly selling the idea of humanoid robots to us.
Kubrick/Spielberg AI not exactly a positive take on Artificial Intelligence. Underrated masterpiece.
I don’t know, man. These movies aren’t about making people sympathetic to robots. They’re about exploring what it means to be human the way they explore that from an outside perspective.
Expect, maybe A.I. which is just another version of Pinocchio.
Sure… let’s just ignore the actual “evil AI/evil robots take over the world” tropes, shall we?
Dude, it’s just interesting angles on something we all expect to come one day.
If these are your deep cuts for commentary on robotics and ai from science fiction, you desperately need to pick up a book and stop scrolling. Science fiction is famous for using allegory to comment on the human experience. The abuse we commit to robots is a thin allegory for racism, class oppression, and colonialism. We as human beings are toolmakers- it’s what enables us to transform our environments to suit our needs rather than needing to adapt to our environments- no other animal can do this. We are also the only animal to have metacognition and a primordial, instinctual, calling towards the existential or the spiritual. In many religions, god creates humanity in its own image. It follows that humans would try and create tools in our own image, too. It’s genuinely depressing how many people scorn AI and robotics and think they are the ones reading between the lines. You’re actually quite misguided. Whether or not we treat the tools we create, as reflections of ourself, with respect is a test of our moral worth as a species. If we were gods, would we love and respect our creations if we aren’t even capable of doing that to our own species? Yes, capitalism is a plague, yes, capitalist technocracy should get you angry, but no, robots and ai are not the enemy. Their masters are.
If you can’t be bothered to read a book just watch “the greatest robot on earth” arc of Astro Boy. It’s so easy to understand its message of, “your enemy is the one pulling the strings, not the foot soldier” that it inspired a four year old Naomi Urasawa to write one of the best detective stories ever, imo, Pluto, reinterpreting the original arcs themes for an adult audience.
I saw this with love, if you aren’t reading, you are brainwashed, yourself.
I’ve never seen any of these movies and I embrace AI 100%

There is no real AI presently and there may never be. What we have now and the next five years is a glorified chat bot that spits out data in a conversational manner. It’s entirely overhyped and the bubble will pop sooner than later.
Wait until you find out about all of the comics and cartoons from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s
Futurama played with this idea too. Fry falls in love with the Lucy Lu bot, where you could upload any likeness to a robot.
Jonny 5: Program say to kill, to disassemble, to make dead.
I mean, go read the book/ watch the movie Metropolis from 1925/1927 that’s a hundred years ago.. these stories are just natural and attractive for sci-fi writers and movie makers to create and nothing new
It started with Pinocco.
Star wars, blade runner, Short circuit, 2001 space odyssey, west world, Wall E, Big hero 6, Chappie
