Apparently making no goddamn sense at all is the current GOP method to deflect difficult questions.

    2. >“This is out of control and is wildly inappropriate,” Johnson said. “And for a senator like Mark Kelly, or any member of Congress in the House or Senate to be engaged in that kind of talk is is, to me, just so beyond the pale.”

Oh yes, that’s what’s beyond the pale, Mike. Sure.

But he will say, “unequivocally,” that it’s wrong and irresponsible for *Democrats* to say soldiers can refuse illegal orders. This fucking guy.

It’s amazing more of these Republicans don’t get so tired of tap dancing for Trump’s insanity that they quit.

We need new representation. An income limit on who can run so the representative body is actually representative.

Cap it at 60% over the median household income.

“This is detestable what’s happened. Political violence has become all too common in American society.”

“This is not who we are. It violates the core principles of our country.”

-Mike Johnson two months ago when asked to comment on the violence being spoken post Charlie Kirk shooting.

But we need legal scholars to read in between the lines of what trump posted?

    7. TintedApostle on

There is no defense. Anyone offering one or avoiding discussing it as being wrong is guilty of supporting terror.

    8. Reminder: THE GOP could have impeached and convicted Trump after January 6th where he riled up a mob with makeshift guillotines to besiege Congress to force them to not certify Trump lost the election so he could remain in power.

They chose not to very explicitly. America then voted him back in 4 years after.

This country is cooked, 1/3 has religious psychosis, another 1/3 is delusional on what’s happening and think the guardrails will save us, and the last 1/3 don’t care.

I don’t know why, but sometimes I feel like I hate seeing Mike’s face more than Trump….don’t know why

I’m tired of the fascist idiot in chief saying things without any merit that I’d be banned for saying, truthfully and with merit, about him.

Trump is a traitor. It’s not even arguable at this point. In a remotely just country he’d be rotting in prison from the moment it was shown he helped a hostile foreign country attack our civil institutions.

Cue the FashBots „just asking questions“ to try to create the illusion that people support this fascist moron who stole the election with Elon.

Republicans seem to hate the Constitution, every time they have to follow it, they get mad.

      >“What I’m saying, what I will say unequivocally, that was a wildly inappropriate thing for so called leaders in Congress to do to encourage young troops to disobey orders.”

They called on troops to disobey *illegal* orders. Which is not „a wildly inappropriate thing“. Calling for your political adversaries to be publicly executed is, however, „a wildly inappropriate thing“ for a so called leader of the United States to do.

      I’m so tired.

I think the reason democratic lawmakers made the video was because they knew something was up. It explains Trump’s reaction too.

What a POS! What’s even more incredible is his wife is a pastoral counselor! He’s Satanic and she’s counseling supposed Christians. Hilarious

I take solace in the fact that every morning he looks at himself in the mirror he knows he’s a hollow, soulless shill of a man with no shot of redemption for his abhorrent behavior.

    17. Agent-Adept on

I can’t believe this. Trump just put targets on the backs of each of these Democrats and no Republican thinks he’s done anything wrong. Our political system and our country have gone so terribly wrong!!

    18. raging-peanuts on

That looks on Johnson’s face in that photo. He’s thinking: „Man…another rough day. I hope son my won’t be monitoring my porn watching habits later tonight.“

    19. I’d love for a reporter to look him in the eye and ask „How long can you keep up with this charade?“

    20. „What I’m saying, what I will say unequivocally, that was a wildly inappropriate thing for so called leaders in Congress to do to encourage young troops to disobey orders.”

This is a straw man argument, because he has no other defense. Omitting the word „illegal“ is deliberate, because he cannot otherwise defend Trump’s comment.

    21. Time to screenshot this post and post it as a comment when Republican lawmakers start getting gunned down by their own party for supporting pedophiles, while their side offers “thoughts and prayers” and asks for “the left to tone down violent rhetoric”.

    22. trollmonster8008 on

I’m genuinely shocked he “knew” about these comments. His usual comment is 🤷🏼‍♂️.

    23. Gingerstachesupreme on

It’s not word salad – it’s a calculated response that avoids criticizing daddy Trump while still managing to point the blame back on the Congress members who told soldiers to uphold their oath to the constitution. Spineless, ludicrous, but calculated.

    24. joebuckshairline on

      > Jeffries has long been an ally of the president even when he has called for acts of violence.

Do these writers/editors not proofread their fucking articles? Or did they just ask AI to write it for them?

    25. Spaceinpigs on

I’m amazed that Mike “I-don’t-know-anything-about-that” Johnson knew what trump wrote! Sokath! His eyes open!

    26. GenghisFrog on

I love it when Trump does this stuff to this POS. Trump says fucking insane things and this idiot has to try and justify it.

You know he reads/sees these things Trump says and just face palms knowing he’s going to asked about it constantly until Trump does his next dumb ass thing.

    27. They’ve never been in the military but you would still think they would know the definitions of words like ‚treason‘ and ’sedition‘ .

And when they deny or feign ignorance they implicate themselves in this administration’s criminality and will be held accountable.

    28. “We are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.” – Kevin Roberts

Remember what was said in the past. They literally told us what they were planning. They have always wanted blood.

    29. > What I’m saying, what I will say unequivocally, that was a wildly inappropriate thing for so called leaders in Congress to do to encourage young troops to disobey orders

So of course, Johnson is twisting this into a claim that they said troops should disobey all orders. I watched the entire video; it isn’t super long. What they encouraged was for troops to disobey unlawful orders—which isn’t a controversial take. Johnson knows this, and is clearly lying in order to try to defend his boss.

    30. It’s always been really hard for them to come up with some way to defend Trump. But we’ve gotten to the point where it’s completely undefendable.

Leavitt said today that him telling a woman “quiet piggy” was transparency and a sign of respect. And that politicians wanting our military to only do legal things is…illegal? Somehow upholding the constitution is now unconstitutional?!

      Wow.

    31. There are only two correct responses to this question, and he failed to deliver either of them:

      1. „We’re convening to discuss impeachment immediately,“ or
      2. „I’ve asked the Vice President and cabinet members to consider invoking Article 25, Section 4.“

    32. AthasDuneWalker on

I’m surprised that he didn’t just grin that perpetually smug grin and say „I haven’t heard that“.

Mike Johnson is such a flaccid, impotent man that not even a whole bottle of viagra could change how weak and limp he is.
