Republican administrations have had a terrible record on economic performance for over a century now. Boggles the mind that anyone gives the GOP higher marks than Democrats.

I could have told everyone that a year ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago. But here we are, eveyone who voted for Trump and stated economy as the reason is a complete moron.

Dude literally campaigned on how exactly he would wreck the economy.

Fake News…Fake Polls….Russia, Russia, Russia….They’re eating our dogs and cats.

Couldn’t we use facts and data to prove that Biden was better for the economy instead of using opinion polls? trump and the republicans lose badly when the data is examined.

The average reading level for the U.S. is sixth grade so I’m sure there a lot of opinions on the economy that I would consider misinformed and/or misled.

Breaking News: Trump sues every citizen of America that participates in a polling survey of him with a negative opinion.

Trump promised to lower prices on day one. Promises made, promises broken.

No shit. You don’t fire the people who report jobs numbers and then bury the jobs report if you’re doing a great job.

    8. blazze_eternal on

They refuse to release economic reports for the month and everyone knows it’s still shit.

So he’s killing marginalized Americans by eliminating Medicaid, randomly harassing and arresting actual American citizens just because they are brown, and he is hurting our economy too? So what did Trump actually do for our country?

    10. Fox News is shit but I’ll at least give them credit on their polls. They seem to always be transparent with their own polls. Which seems like it’d be the easiest thing to skew.

This isn’t the first time he’s gone off the deep end, and it won’t be the last no matter who gets hurt. He refuses to take responsibility for his words or actions and no one in the circle who could corral him is willing to do it. Since childhood his insanity has been protected.

Nearly every single economic indicator that Biden inherited from Trump improved under Biden, and then has regressed again back under Trump. Nothing shocking here.

    13. Yeah, well, the news is all about ACA subsidies and SNAP benefits, but it’s also true that the middle class and upper middle class are also getting slammed with higher health insurance (not to mention home and auto insurance) and higher food costs. So every MAGA suburban Republican dad is suddenly realizing they are getting poorer every month, even if they got a raise this year, which plenty don’t.

Meanwhile, the GOP is literally talking about bumping up health savings accounts, so that it bamboozles more people into going with highly restrictive, high-deductible, high out-of-pocket insurance plans that can easily wipe out multiple years of HSA savings with one bad medical incident. Oh, and the stock market that people stupidly put their HSA money in? Bursting. Brad Goatee Oakley isn’t going to like that.

    14. Who would have guessed a man who has bankrupted more companies than most people can even list is bad for the economy..

    15. The annoying part is he was worse in the first term as well. But everyone seemingly memory holed that and only remembered the COVID checks he felt the need to put his name on.

Trump has always been awful on the economy.

It makes me want to pull my hair out how many people still think the Republicans are better on the economy, when we have like 50 years of proof that that is simply not the case. Every Republican president fucks the economy

    16. QuirkyWish3081 on

He’s worse than Joe Biden in every faculty. Joe Biden. A good man. A man of principle and reputation. Yes he’s old, should never have ran a second term, maybe even the first. But he is better than this pedophile in every way. I tip my hat to the man. Respect.

    17. Knightoncloudwine on

Yeah, no shit. Biden didn’t cause most of the inflation. It was created due to multiple factors like covid, stimulus payments, supply chain issues, corporate greed. Biden eventually got the inflation down and economy back on track. Piggy over here is all self inflicted due to terrible policies and tariffs. Faux news can’t lie their way out this one.

    18. Trump voter: „I voted for Trump because he’s *such a good businessman*!¡!“

As they said in the 80’s: Gag me with a spoon

Should have listened to every economist that predicted this exact outcome over a year ago.

    20. greaterwhiterwookiee on

Ouch! When Fox News start rawdoggin’ ya Donnie, you know it’s bad

    21. johnnygrant on

Voters were absolute idiots to think Trump that can’t comprehend simple concepts will be a good custodian of the economy.

    22. somethingrandom261 on

It’s a poll. Why is it a poll. There’s literal statistical metrics that would show what’s up. It’s not a matter of opinion.

The only outcome that should come from a pool like this is demographics of delusion. Who somehow despite every shred of proof thinks Trump isn’t terrible for the country?

    23. Weltall8000 on

It’s *hilarious.* trump gets handed a mostly strong economy, he fucked it up, Biden largely repaired it, trump inherited *another* strong economy, and immediately drives it back into the ground, even worse than he did the first time. It’s *almost like* trump is **grossly incompetent and corrupt.**
