The first album is still a constant in my rotation. The reunion show at Heaton Park was the greatest gig of my life. He’ll be missed.

      >>Mounfield’s wife Imelda died in November 2023, three years after she was diagnosed with bowel cancer. The couple have twin boys, who were born in 2013.

Poor kids, both parents in two years. Grim…

Loved him on the stv fishing show. Didn’t know much about him at that time when I younger. Just seemed like a really sound dude. Great bassist as I discovered when I got older and .ore into music

    4. Really sad news! Such a fantastic bassist – gave the Roses their unique groove. RIP Mani – your bass hooks from Fools Gold, She Bangs the Drums, and I am the Resurrection will be with us forever.

Fuck. This one stings. Mani is responsible for so many happy memories throughout my life. I will never forget the feeling of watching them at Heaton Park on the first reunion tour. Saw him with Primal Scream in Reading 2000 too, and he was awesome. Never forget him coming onstage and telling the crowd how much we fucking stunk.

      RIP brother.

Genuinely gutted. The Roses were such a huge part of my musical education. Still listen to them every day. Fly high Mani x

Legend. Met him twice, absolutely great guy as well.

His work with primal scream is some of his best.

To this day I’m pretty sure I sat in a hot tub with him in Reddish, but too shy and no balls to talk to him or ask him if he was him while we were both semi naked and sweaty. I’d like to think it was it… bloody doppelgänger if it wasn’t. RIP Mani
