its an indication of how backwards we still are as a human species when we allow the us federal state governement to coerse people to pay taxes to be channeled towards venturing out into space possibly causing damage on mars and moon while at the same time the same us federal state governement is going to the supreme court to demand them to override a lower federal courts decision how the federal governement would have to use us departement of agriculture emergency funds to pay snap food aid during the recent governement shutdown also caused by those wannabe fascists supporting trump who with his big beautyfull bill put aside 45 billions for ICE masked goons dissapearing people while health care subsidies will run out end of december 2025 for millions of us citizens causiing them to have to pay for example a 1000 dollars per month for healthcare coverage instead of with subsidies a tolerable 200 dollars per month

It wouldn’t be unreasonable that NASA‘s photo was a byproduct of a entirely different observation/meassurement. Unlike a photographer their main goal wouldn’t necessarily be pretty high-res photographs, but rather collecting data das has scientific use.
