      This is the worst case of „we need to do something, this is something, let’s do this“.

      It doesn’t help. It doesn’t work. It just creates massive vulnerabilities and attack surfaces for identity thieves.

      They *know* it doesn’t work. They’ve been told. Nobody even remotely technically literate thinks this is a good idea, or a solution (let alone a good one).

      This is just puritanism.

      I saw somewhere that people were using photographs of other people to verify.. What if someone were to use the faces of the same politicians who voted in the bill..

      Gonna sound like a chaste puritan, but I actually do think porn should have a barrier to entry to view

      Think of it like this: If you wouldn’t be comfortable with a sales assistant in a sex shop knowing what you’re watching, you probably shouldn’t be watching it
