If a Billy Bob Thornton monologue about oil is going to chance your stance on the oil industry you probably didn’t really care in the first place. Other than the obnoxious blondes I enjoy the show and I still find the oil industry repulsive. I watched the newest episode last night while fast charging my electric car.
My father watched this show, and some of the complete BS that comes out of their mouths in the show is hilarious.

I just wish people would remember this is fiction. To be clear… it 100% lies about the oil industry and renewables. However it’s kind of fitting for a character dedicating his life to it… to honestly believe this shit. I mean would you be shocked to meet someone in the oil industry telling you oil propaganda/lies? No.
It’s just sad someone sitting there watching the show will watch it and think… „Wow, I never knew that!“

I love the show and strongly dislike big oil. Until it’s no longer entertaining, I don’t care. This show is frigging excellent.
Well…right? I mean, Billy Bob is the star, and is a C*ompany* man – capital C. You want him to spend a whole show rhapsodizing on cancer rates from benzene or something? Taylor Sheridan is nothing if not bought into the American ethos – military good; oil good; cowboy good.
Now he just needs to do a show about the fight against communism set in the 50’s and 60’s, and something set during the Revolutionary War (or the migration of settlers in the 1800’s) and he’ll hit the superfecta.
