The Justice Department acknowledged Wednesday that the grand jury that indicted former FBI Director James Comey was never shown the final version of the charges. Prosecutors revealed the lapse under questioning by the judge overseeing the case. Comey’s attorneys argued the omission warrants dismissing the indictment. The judge did not immediately rule.
Hopefully they can perjury and remove all of the prosecuting attorney’s licenses.

This case is going to get shitcanned fast. Bondi’s fucking clown DOJ wanted so badly to effectuate Trump’s orders into actual charges that they sidelined the career prosecutors who told them, “no, there’s nothing here to work with” and then strung the grand jury along with an incomplete indictment.

Apparently the indictment was altered slightly, not that different from the original indictment, and likely would have been approved by the grand jury.
But this lawyer Trump put on this has never prosecuted a case before. She didn’t know she was supposed to get the grand jury’s approval on the altered indictment. She just had the foreman sign off on it. And in doing so, has jeoperadized the entire case.
This is why you don’t put your personal real estate attorney on the case to try to prosecute the former director of the FBI on false charges…

What the hell did the Grand Jury agree to prosecute him for if they were never shown what the government wanted to prosecute him for? Are they actually going to claim there was just blanket approval to prosecute him for whatever the hell they wanted?

The judge didn’t rule due the splitting headache caused by trying to understand how a signed grand jury indictment was never shown to the grand jury.
> Comey’s attorney, Michael Dreeben, said this admission meant that there was no indictment against his client and that the statute of limitations meant the chance of securing a new one had collapsed.
This is probably one of the better outcomes for the remaining lawyers at the DOJ. The case collapses due to one person who can be unceremoniously thrown under the bus. They don’t need to tie themselves in knots trying to sustain what is clearly an unsustainable prosecution that they didn’t want to do. The judge will be the target of the Truth Social ramblings for blocking the case rather than the DOJ for losing it when an acquittal came down.
