    1. US and Russian officials have quietly drafted a new plan to end the war in Ukraine that would require Kyiv to surrender territory and severely limit the size of its military, it was reported on Wednesday as Russian drone and missile strikes killed at least 25 people in the city of Ternopil.

The draft plan, which was reportedly developed by Donald Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, and the Kremlin adviser Kirill Dmitriev, would force draconian measures on Ukraine that would give Russia unprecedented control over the country’s military and political sovereignty and is likely to be viewed as surrender in Kyiv.

Ukraine should stop talking to US officials, they are not your friends. Current US administration is viscious and on the same side as Putin. In their mindset the weak do not get help but submit to the strong. You are only humiliating yourselves by talking to Trump and his administration. It doesn’t want justice, it only cares about profits.

Ukraine will probably make its own proposals, if this is really a plan, and not just another fantasy of journalists.

But what happens if Ukraine simply rejects this plan?

In December, the EU will need to somehow resolve the issue of financing Ukraine. There is only one option –  frozen assets of Russia.

It is unclear how investors from China and Arab countries will react.

The second question: weapons. The United States, knowing that Europe has money, will sell its weapons at an additional margin.  After all, there is no one else to buy them -in stock.

Thirdly, the situation at the front. Reducing the supply of weapons, along with reducing the intelligence information of the Ukrainian army, will benefit the Kremlin.

Ukraine already has a shortage of soldiers at the front, so it is quite possible that the situation will worsen.

Fourth, Zelinsky’s entourage is now accused of corruption, and he himself is compromised. Of course , in peacetime , this is just a scandal , but in wartime it is a national betrayal

    4. Just a lame attempt to get a political win while the Epstein scandal is collapsing his approval rating. Dead on arrival.

    5. This deal should be named after Chamberlain.

It is full capitulation to fascist dictatorship that is waging war of conquest in Europe without them needing to give up anything. Only thing Russia does is give their pinky promise they stop invading, and history tells us how much that is worth.

So Putin really has that tape on Trump.

After checking English language statements from Russian media, this is a nothing more than conjecture at this time. Russian government officials have denied all of this.

Witkoff is a treacherous moron, who basically only speaks for himself and has his head up his own arse. If true, this is basically the same rotten plan than the was that was shitted out last summer. And it conspiciously comes around at a time when the news cycle is unfavourable to Ukraine. Remeber, two weeks ago it was all about how Russia was seeing its economy go up in smoke due to its war footing and sanctions, while Ukraine was striking at its refineries. Now people are talking about the seizure of a city that has been leveled down and has no strategic value as if it was the new Stalingrad. Journalists are gullible ignorants

The very issue of course, save for the classic european shenanigans regarding aid, is the one about the corruption case. What makes matters worse is that Zelinsky probably knew what was about to come and tried to takeover the anticorruption bodies during the summer. He couldn’t and now he can’t really isolate himself from the fallout.

Looking at historical precedent, the „Union Sacrée“ in France lasted three years and ceased in 1917 for instance. So a measure of political struggle would not be unprecedented in a state of war.

    8. The secret to the plan’s success is to keep Trump awake after the document is finalized. Otherwise, he’ll fall asleep, wake up in the morning, and, as usual, forget everything. And this way, everything will be as it should be:
      Trump to Zelensky: Agree?
      Zelensky: Absolutely not!
Trump: Okay. I tried. This is a very complex conflict, I have no time. That’s it, bye-bye. I need to stop the war between penguins and polar bears. Btw , Europe can continue buying weapons from me for Ukraine if it wants.

But it isn’t full capitulation. It is ceding territories and limiting size of army and available weapons technology. Essentially finlandization. The country would still be free to elect their democratic leaders and aspire for EU and NATO. And that’s why Putin will never go for it. Because it would still mean losing Ukraine to the West.

The current peace plan all but a big circlejerk for Putin. A means to delay Tomahawks or really anything else to be sent to (or developed in) Ukraine. If he had to, Putin would make his countrymen attack Ukrainian positions with sticks and stones, even before we see WWs 3 or 4 as Einstein prophesied.

    10. It’s shocking how this crap from Russia is spreading across so many news agencies. Does no-one check this stuff?
