TBH the „battle“ with OpenAI is probably over now that Google’s monopoly abuse conviction let them keep Chrome and Android, keep buying default search engine status across all significant web browsers, and will now power the default voice assistant for iPhone too. This puts OpenAI about where Firefox and DuckDuckGo are.

    2. The benchmarks are **very** good, it’s the best AI model to date.

Luddites and decels blown the f*ck out. AI progress continues.

      /r/accelerate

    3. OpenAI is getting beaten in the enterprise side by Anthropic and getting beaten in the consumer side by Gemini.

xAI has twitter and Meta has Facebook. So they can’t get into the social media side.

Microsoft and Apple Siri re holding their numbers, but Microsoft, Nvidia and Anthropic just announced a partnership focusing on Enterprise. While Apple is heavily rumoured to switch to Gemini for Siri

Not a good position for OpenAI.

We dont give a shit about how good you think a text generator is. its not intelligent. It will never be intelligent. Go away, cultists

This sub always told me that AI is a hoax und just hype. The same sub tells everyone that AI is dangerous and stealing jobs. /s

The benchmarks of Gemini 3 are mind blowing. And I’m very afraid of the future we are heading too. You can take AI seriously and still dislike it.

Everyone who thinks AI is just hype is a moron

I just wish Gemini had the ability to create groupings of prompts like ChatGPT can

    7. Just tried it. Claude is still unmatched. Sonnet 4.5 eats Gemini Pro 3 for dinner.

    8. Gemini is far superior. OpenAI makes so many mistakes. And continues to make the same mistakes in single chat even after you correct it.

    9. I’ve tested both yesterday, both are very shite to use.

I am translating some chinese texts with a .json file, the full file is about ~250KB, both found it large to I made it into 25 lines chunks.

Gemini the fucker gives me files with less than 25 lines, translated wrong and when told where is the rest it gives me a few more lines and then tries to gaslight me into thinking there are no more lines (it once gave me 16 lines and then 4 more after i inquired and said thats the whole file when i asked for the rest)

Also for some odd reason it adds [cite: number] idk why

ChatGPT on the shittier hand asks a lot of questions on how its supposed to give me the translated file and it never does it correctly.

This is using the speedy version of both.

Using the pro version of both, gemini crashes and cant do the task while ChatGPT takes ages everytime it comes up with a reply and that reply is asking me for more.

Here was my prompt give or take „Translate the chinese in this .json file to english, keeping the json file structure the same“

I’ll give this about 5 years until its able to this „basic“ task.

    10. Question: is it still shit?

Importantly not the question: does it score better on some bullshit test metric. It can be better than before and still be shit

Second question: does it still set money on fire?

Ok, both are still shite and dangerous.

I can only hope the bubble pops soon and it all fucks off

    12. I’ve been saying for a long time that Google will win the AI race. They started it and they know what they’re doing. Not to mention the access and reach they have across the world with their products and services and they’re smart enough to know how to make money from it.
