How many times has China done this? If the Japanese government did not anticipate this situation when the Prime Minister spoke about a Taiwan emergency, then the Japanese government is incompetent.
Chinas government is united in its actions. And they plan 40 years in advance.
Japan and the west are constantly fighting amongst themselves. And constantly fighting within themselves. Even in the face of imminent danger.
Their politicians cant see past the next election cycle and are willing to destroy their own countries if it would earn them a single extra dollar.
This can only end one way.
Japan historically has consumed 10% of the world’s seafood production while having far less that 10% of the world’s population.
Beijing boycotting Japanese seafood imports may not be as punitive as they hope it to be.
What exactly is a Japanese seafood? The Tokyo seafood marketplace was already relocated and downsized.
China have done this before and will do this again and again not just seafood, it’s any product/services, this is the expected norm for any business dealing with China, if they havent diversify their client base, maybe this would be the latest warning.
Japan doesn’t need, and will never need, China for business, especially for seafood.

Just export more to Singapore, Taiwan and Australia.
They claimed safety reasons, but I doubt it will stop the fleets from illegally fishing in Japanese waters. Perhaps it’s only dangerous if you pay for it. Isn’t radiation funny like that?
