Glauben Sie nichts, was Sie sehen, lol, seien Sie vorsichtig.

  1. Report it to the Verbraucherschutz Zentralle. Although nothing may come out of it, I think it will be worth it.

Aside from the price, don’t buy erazer Medion stuff. Just check out Alternate or Mindfactory’s builds.

RAM almost doubled in price recently, this may be the reason.
I thought that deals had to be include the percentage change to the lowest price of the last 30 days?

that’s unfortunately normal during/around black Friday. Report it and don’t buy it.
Check out dubaro. They have a better selection of pre builds for better prices. Also lookup hardwaredealz to see what specs you can buy/build yourself according to your budget and compare it to the pre builds available.

u/MediaMarktSaturn – caught red handed again gents, any thoughts on the „technical error“ that magically created this illegal price switch that benefits your business? Happens a weird amount aye?

  6. The uvp (recommended retail price) comes from the manufacturer and they (mediamarkt) must have proof that this is in fact the uvp with an issue date on it. (my employer does this). Contact the authority on this.

A discount can only be communicated when the lowest price is the lowest of the last thirty days. However, with uvp shenanigans you can still communicate a „from the looks of it“ discount. This was done so much, that the Netherlands has already forbidden to strikehrough RRP in order to eliminate to suggest a product was ever sold at this price and that a „discount“ is in fact not there.

Every time check a deal on Idealo, make sure to look at the price history. Sometimes, this week can have great deals, but it can also be a scam like this.

  8. Use websites like Geizhals or Idealo to look for devices or parts, where you can see price history. Anything with RAM has been going up like crazy in the past month or so. I’d suggest just building your own, maybe even get some used parts.

  9. Per law they need to display the lowest price offered in the las 30 days when highlighting a discount. This add is illegal. Report it to Verbraucherschutz.
