Humans built AI. Humans are flawed. Hence AI is flawed. Think for yourself.

Well DUH. LLMs can’t think. They don’t understand anything. They have no consciousness or concept of anything. They’re just algorithms that produce responses that superficially seem ‚close enough‘ to what a real human would respond with.
I’ll give you an even better piece of advice. Dont fucking use gen ai.

*Now* AI is just a statistical model, a tool like any other. It has flaws – of course it does. It’s just a helpful way of suggesting things, not something to be taken at face value and *definitely* not something to be trusted blindly.

That’s one of my biggest gripes with AI as it exists. It has no way to tell if what it’s telling you is right or wrong, because it doesn’t know…and yet it’s placed in places as if we should be relying on it and not fact checking it every single time (which of course makes it a lot less useful). It’s designed to present information in a way to make you trust it, but it is fundamentally incapable of being trustworthy.

Been telling this to anyone that will listen. Even just seeing ai summaries on media or video games shows that it literally hallucinates facts. It spits out storylines that don’t exist, it blends video games together.

It feels like a somewhat shallow experience using this stuff personally. I ask it for underground artists in specific cities that make certain kinds of music and it always gives me a basic top 5-10 of people I’ve already heard of before. Just doing a lil research myself provides far more names I haven’t heard of with just a few mins of research on sites I know to look around on. They say it’s for research and maybe I’m just prompting poorly, but every time I use AI for anything it never provides a deep experience, just very shallow top of line results. (don’t even get me started on Joe Rogan’s obsession with bland AI music and calling it amazing lol)
Sounds like AI may take over for the masses/majority/generalized work, but for anything with depth/substance it just ain’t cutting mustard for me yet. (am I using cutting mustard correctly? I’ve never said that lol)
How could you? Since 6 months, the results I get from ai is continuously worse. I only ask on topics now, where I have at least decent background knowledge.

If people shouldn’t trust AI in your opinion, then remove the AI summary from the top of the search results, and try to incorporate it into every single aspect of life. And have it completely guide the results we get on a google search.
Because people are just blindly following whatever the AI tells them because it’s up top and easy accessible. And requires no further research for them.
