Currently, there are two counties have been moving forward with having nuclear weapons under the permission from the US obviously.
Australia, South Korean are going to have their nuclear-powered submarines from the US in the near future, and we will be naive to think that there will be no nuclear weapons armed in nuclear-powered submarines. Japan just simply wants to follow the same route.
NPT (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) is going to be thrown into the trash by all the countries then.

When I lived in China I saw people openly talk they want to nuke Japan and believe they could. Mainstream media controlled by ccp also spread this kind of videos to indicate that they can. They just think they can do anything and if any other countries don’t obey then they can nuke them. I know what a average man thinking is deeply affected by media and maybe Xi just use this to control people or somewhat, but who knows?
I don’t know what else should you do besides hoisting nuclear weapons when your neighbour is like this.
