      Frank Feighan for minister for public expenditure, Harris as finance minister, McEntee to foreign affairs. I really wish departments could be headed by people with experience in the areas

      This is the guys who came out and said that economics was complicated and the electorate didn’t understand it and admitted he didn’t understand either.

      We are fucked, someone totally unqualified in charge being advised by corporate shills.

      We should just call ourselves the Republic of GOOGLE and bow down to our corporate overlords.

      At least the GPD’s look good.

      I wish Mr Harris well, and I’m sure that he will be just as effective as he was in Health, Higher Education, Defence and Foreign Affairs.

      I think Harris was so genuinely afraid of giving anyone else in his cabinet (other than McEntee, he knows she’s nowhere near electable as leader) a promotion to either Finance or FA because it would instantly give them a healthier position to topple him in a years time. This way, he feels is safer for him politically.

      Does he have any real world work experience let alone a background even remotely related to what would be required? Private sector wouldn’t even interview him for a similar role, they’d laugh at the fact he even submitted a CV.

      Slight change to the line up, same results…promote the business class, ignore the overall population, failings and cost of living, and sell it as a success no matter what.

      Same old story from a different perspective, it won’t change anything for alot of people out there.

      Why does one person resigning require such a large reshuffle. It makes no sense that you now have a handful of people taking on new portfolios.

      Should Jack Chambers not be minister as he was deputy finance minister to Pascal? Poor but better than Simon Harris by a good margin.

      Lads, what do we think it is about McEntee? I try to be pretty on the level in terms of parties and politicians, I don’t hate FFG just because they’ve been in government, I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.

      But McEntee is a perfect example of failing upwards. She took over her late father’s seat on a sympathy vote, she had no major political background or experience, and she just been continually assigned bigger and bigger portfolios and done absolutely fuck all with them.

      Why?
