East Africa surprised me. I was under the impression they were among the tallest around. I guess malnutrition is a really big issue.

    2. Have you got a map which shows where the number of bot comments outnumbers real comments?

      I’m 1.7m here in Chile

And I’m starting to feel short, yesterday I went out to vote and with some many people amassed in one place I realized that at least half the people including women are taller than me(maybe cheating, they wear platform shoes).

Maybe it checks out, the avg is 1.7m generally counting all adult men. Kids though, I guess born in the 2000s seem to be pretty fucking tall… I wish the tall gene hadn’t skipped me 🙁

But if you open tinder in India, most men would write above 6 ft in their profile. 😂 People lie about their height all the time here, including women.

Malnutrition. People from there come here and their kids grow up much taller than their parents. Used to be that way from lots of formerly poor „2nd World“ countries, too.

*by „here“ I meant the US, but showed my temporary myopia as I momentarily imagined I was in a „US“ forum, which of course Reddit is not. Statement surely applies to most any wealthy country with significant immigrant populations.

    6. I’m actually surprised by Japan due to their lower average height. There must be much less variance.

    7. As someone from Somalia, I know this map is utter bs. You’ll rarely ever meet any Somali man under 5’4”.

My attraction to shorter men, and separately Latino men, is well founded 😁

    9. No way this is accurate lol.

For starters how is Guatemala not one of them while Mexico is?

    10. I’m 5’10“ which makes me exactly average in the United States but I felt like a giant when I visited Ecuador as I was taller than almost everyone but other tourists.
