When you bought a return ticket wasnt it cheaper tho? So now this option is removed ?
How does this work if you have a railcard? I assume you still have to buy tickets separately?

This is why I love flying to Gatwick. After a holiday and a flight when all you wanna do is get home, it’s so convenient to just be able to tap on at Gatwick station and let the system figure it out rather than have to faff with tickets
