Seems like Russia is trying very hard to make Poland and Germany hate each other.
russia will exploit every possible way to weakend EU, if germans want to prevent this they should pay what they owe, its the only way.
If he called Mularczyk a dick, nobody would care. He’s professional diplomat and he knows that accusing polish person of „helping putin“ is crossing the line.
I wish that our relations with Germany were good, but politicians work very hard to create mutual hatered.
I actually agree with him. PiS wass talking about repariations for the last 10 years , and they did nothing.
It’s fair, Russia should get reparations! And Palestine should get as well. Or these are well known western double standards.

So how many years since invasion of Ukraine needs to pass, so Russians can say by asking for repatriation Ukraine is helping [chose one – Mongol Empire, China, invasion of Aliens from outerspace]
70 year old war reparations? Some people don’t really understand the ridiculous of what they say.
I also want reparations for my country from multiply countries by that logic.
Germany should get reparations from Italy because of the damage the Roman Empire did to the germanic Tribes!

Poland should be happy that Germany has been the willful punching bag whenever there are elections in Poland. That kind of rhetoric can be used by for example AfD to say that ‚your tax money is going to *this*‘.

It’s a difficult topic, but not entirely unfounded. The PiS party seizes every opportunity to blame Germany: Germany sends refugees to Poland, Germany refuses to pay. Germany doesn’t do that. Of course, this isn’t helpful for relations.

Well yeah, but at some point we need to discuss WW2 reparations in general.
The „..but that was our grandfathers that did it, why should we pay..“ doesn’t make sense, unless all sovereign debt accrued before I was born is cancelled too.

Pragmatism, people. All this political nonsense can be laid to rest with one night of international drinking. Imagine the potency of Polish and German drinking culture coming together for one night to lay all differences aside. Heck, make it a festival week, if youre Polish in Germany, drinks on the house and vice versa. International relations solved.
