    1. Didn’t she want to assassinate Democrats? Sounds like she’s having the day she voted for.

Finish the thought, why does making Trump and MAGA angry put your life at risk?

She, like most politicians, just pandering to stay in power. Nothing will happen. Trump will remain as your president.

Wait, she said the liberals were the dangerous ones.

Now she’s admitting conservatives are out to get her?

The part that bothers me is the entitlement in her statement. She says Trump calling her a traitor puts her life at risk, but she has spent years supporting rhetoric and policies that put millions of people at risk. She never showed the same concern for the people affected by her own decisions.

It becomes selfish at the very least. It is hard to watch someone worry about their safety only after they feel personally threatened, while ignoring the danger their actions created for others. That is the real issue here.

This is a common political pattern. People minimize the harm they cause, but maximize the harm directed at them. It is a form of entitlement that collapses empathy. My fear matters. Your fear does not. My danger is real. Your danger was just political noise. And then suddenly the danger becomes real and now everyone else is expected to pay attention.

This is not even about her specifically. This pattern happens across politics. When someone with power finally experiences a small piece of the risk they created for others, they suddenly understand the threat. They never understood it when other people were living with it every day.

      …entitlement creates selective empathy.
