I can accept her apology. This is how healing starts, but she’s gonna need to walk back some *other* stuff. The 2020 election would be a great start.

    2. Retaining-Wall on

Highly skeptical, but it would be hilarious if the end to this is MTG having a full redemption arc, abandon MAGA, convince her followers to come along, repudiate hate, and being the first domino that ends this nightmare. Then Harambe shows up back in his pen with no explanation whatsoever.

Sure, she’s „sorry“ now that she’s on the receiving end of what she’s been dishing out, but when someone has spent a lifetime being like she is, I wouldn’t count on this being a permanent change. The moment she’s confident that she’s not at risk anymore and doesn’t need the help and protection of people she doesn’t like, she might just return to being herself.

    4. Upstairs-Egg on

I welcome changes of heart. I hope it’s genuine and we’ll see more MAGA reps leaving Trump behind.

    5. Ugh, she’s one of them and always will be, don’t buy it people! Google her harassing David Hogg & Marcus Flowers, that’s just a couple of many she’s harassed and threatened.

    6. Callabrantus on

Bull-fuckety-shit. This lady chased victims of school shootings down the street and called them crisis actors. She called for the imprisonment of Anthony Fauci. She’s turned a new leaf? Fuck her. I won’t fucking let her.

Go apologize to the families and survivors of Sandy Hook, you opportunistic ghoul.

    9. carefree_bomb on

You know what? I’m fine with this. Sure, I don’t trust her, and at the end of the day whether she’s beefing with Trump or not she still hates me and probably wishes I were dead, but I’ll take it.

Having approx 25% of the population stuck in this cult is untenable, if she wants to use her high profile status to present an offramp for the MAGAs who are genuinely troubled with the Epstein horrors (i.e. MAGA members who still possess a shred of humanity), it’s a ultimately a good thing.

Also, she actually apologized, which is a lot more than I can say for a lot of other high profile former Trump supporters who would prefer we all just forget what they’ve said and supported in the past.

In times like this, the enemy of my enemy…

She irredeemably repulsive. This is 100% performative for her own gain. She has no soul and nothing she can do can redeem this. If anything she just wants to go further.

    11. I’m gonna have to see an awful lot of changed actions before I accept her apology. And even then I might not.

    12. Efficient_Resist_287 on

Dems are so naive and will believe this “transformation”….

She showed you who she is, please believe her.

Years of divisive comments can’t be undone with a single apology on CNN. Greene needs to show genuine change, not just words

    14. I_Enjoy_Beer on

If you’re so humbly sorry, Marge, and not just trying to jump off the MAGA ship before it sinks, you should simply resign your seat.

    15. Forsaken_Hermit on

I’m glad she’s fighting with Slug Virus but I don’t buy her face turn.

    16. WarbossTodd on

Yeah. No thanks. Fuck her, fuck everything she stands for and fuck everyone who voted for her.

    17. dadbodieshitthefloor on

Once a grifter always a grifter. Do no trust her. She’s still grifting, she just changed her target.

    18. Crazy-Nights on

I’m all for redemption arc but based off the history of the right wing, I’m going to wait and see some actions rather than take her word for it.

    19. She wants to run for the Senate from Georgia, so she’s trying to appear normal. Do not fall for it at all. The enemy of my enemy is not my friend, but can be useful right up until she isn’t.

    20. RandomlyPlacedFinger on

She is utterly and completely untrustworthy. I would believe Jeffrey Dahmer telling me that meat is chicken before I’d believe MTG telling me the fire is hot.

„Turning a new leaf“ = „I think I have a chance at higher office so I’m gonna whitewash my batshit insane history“

    22. Clownsinmypantz on

We are never going to have progress in this country if people buy this shit

    23. rabidantidentyte on

Judge her by her actions. Nothing wrong with a redemption arc. Now prove it.

    24. ungranted_wish on

Fun fact – You can give people room to change while also being skeptical of them doing so.

    25. LomentMomentum on

Am I the only one who thinks she’s “turning a new leaf” only because she has been excommunicated from Trump/MAGA?

    26. She says her change of heart came about because SHE felt threatened

She didn’t give a shit about the people she attacked.

    27. ImGonnaHaveToAsk on

Cool. Now apologize to the Parkland and Sandy Hook kids, you fucking ghoul.

    28. Just proof that all these people are actors. They don’t believe a word they say. Do y’all really think these people are *actually* racist and *actually* homophobic and *actually* this cruel IRL? What’s more likely: they’re acting or they actually believe their own bullshit? Lmao.

If “abortion rights good” and “guns bad” started polling better in her district, she would change her stance *immediately*, along with all other Republicans
