Ich habe meinen Freund beim Fallschirmspringen mit einem Wasserstoff-Alpha-Teleskop im freien Fall eingefangen und dabei die Details der Sonnenatmosphäre hinter seiner Silhouette enthüllt. [OC]

That’s a one in a million setup and photo, nice job! Your friend better use that pic as his profile picture for everything, it needs to be appreciated. lol

There must be a behind the scenes video of this shot! If not I call fake. I would love for me to be wrong because, if real, this would be a killer shot.

That’s fucking crazy you need to make this an album cover congrats on a once in a life time photo

This is art! I’d submit to NatGeo. Ijs.

I want to believe this is real so fckn bad but I just dont get how you would be able to get the crispness of the sun so high, the sharpness on the diver and not have the sun blow out the light/photo on everything else. Not to mention capuring the photo as he transits the sun at hundreds mph. If its multiple photos overlayed it would make sense but a 1 photo single idk.

Is your friend’s name Icarus?

Or, I found this photo of the sun online and asked AI to paste in the silhouette of a skydiver.

Déjà vu, someone else posted this 2 days ago and was #1 on r/all. Sucks they aren’t giving you credit – it’s a pretty insane shot.
OP, I say this with my whole hear please reach out to Displate and get this made into one of their limited edition textured posters.

I remember you saying that you were going to do a multi-frame composite of the sun to layer behind him. Is this the composite or the original image?

Looks like the cover of a space horror film. Love it.

This is one of the most incredible images I’ve ever seen in my entire life. If I were that, dude, I would blow this picture up so huge and put it on the wall in my house. Even better I’d put a billboard in my front yard and put this picture on it. And also have Learning To Fly by Pink Floyd playing 24 hours nonstop.

I love the photo’s title as well, Fall of Icarus – how beautiful how it blends science, art and history.
