    2. i wonder how they made the decision to use raspberries. doesn’t really look like the ideal platform to run a datacentre on.

    3. good for homeowners, but bad for IT. Who will put its mission critical service in a shed? Why? Very impractical. Imagine a poor IT guy trying to locate the correct shed in a stormy day, to change a failed power supply.

      Makes sense in the winter but what happens when the data centre is running in the summer and the heat is surplus to requirement. I doubt a data centre that produces that much heat can operate without active cooling in the summer.

      Hmmm if he heats his home with data center, does people who run the data center pay for his electrical bill??

    7. So this could be useful for stuff like certain kinds of CI, or low compute things like the backend for IOT.

      I wonder how they handle upgrades once the hardware is too old to use ?

    8. I think I just had puppies trying to think of how to ensure supply chain integrity with this one.

    9. Curious about the model here… Presumably the data center company is paying the electricity bill? Otherwise, computers are far less efficient than a heat pump, and that £40 is gonna go through the roof once the computers actually start doing something
