Why don’t they change it to the Film Actors Guild? Curious.
Of course an award for entertainment would botch their own branding.
I prefer the Films Actor guild

Omg that’s so on the nose that it’s ridiculous. How does this get passed presumably multiple people?
As an Australian, we’re going to end up confusing it with the AACTA Awards which honors our local film and TV industry. The “AACTA” acronym is pronounced like “actor” which is where I see the problem with this new name.
Was the award a melted candle?
