    1. They’ve had time to think about it 1000 times, and the answer has never changed.

      (Until they approach retirement)

    2. twirlingmypubes on

And yet people like Cornyn continue to brag that they share trump’s values.

    3. I’ll believe it when I see the files. Every few months we hear ‘this is the turning point’ and then nothing happens. Until people in power stop protecting each other, Epstein will stay a political boogeyman instead of an actual reckoning

Sorry, a D- student getting an answer correct after several years does not a genius make him.

Like in „Lion King“ when Scar ran the pride for a minute then the hyenas ate him. It’s coming and it’s gonna be glorious. We’ll still be stuck with a bunch of hyenas though…

They will think and do what the propaganda tells them to think and do. This will include all chanting identical slogans about being „free thinkers“ with „common sense“.

    7. Vanilla_Either on

They already knew and backed him. They just didnt think the rest of us would find out.

    8. trump loyalists are too addicted to the grift to betray him. they’ll follow him until the end until they’re sitting on defendant’s row at nuremberg 2.0 and claim they were just following orders.

I mean… they thought about it after Jan 6th too and within like a month they had all decided „You know what? Im okay with insurrection.“

What makes anyone confident that they won’t just be okay with pedophilia too? We already got Megan Kelly on air yesterday laying the groundwork for „well if it’s a 15 year old it’s not that bad“.

    10. Illuminated12 on

They better. Being pedophile adjacent isn’t going to help them win elections.

Trump knew what Epstein was doing to these girls and could have told the police to save them. Instead he decided to look the other way enabling years of abuse.

At minimum Trump is pedophile enabler.

After they’ve milked the age of deception and madness for every drop it was worth.

This is a story of corruption. About how much the right loves it and how Trump made it possible at levels that were once unimaginable. The only reason they are turning on him now is because this is one bridge too far for their base.

    12. subUrbanMire on

It isn’t even the depravity of his actions.

It’s that he’s not easily shaking free of blame that has them worried.

    13. mtnclimbingotter02 on

Too fucking late. We aren’t forgetting this undying loyalty to a shitbucket.

    14. Due_Two2107 on

I don’t know why they don’t just band together and get rid of him and replace him with Vance. Vance has already demonstrated he’ll do anything Republican leaders and billionaires want. Trump is a continued distraction and isnt an asset to them anymore.

Nazi’s? No. Corruption? No. Bribery? No. War in Venezuela? No. Taking all power from Congress? No. Rolling over for Putin? No. Dementia? No Pedophilia? No…unless the public learns the truth and they are all caught covering it up.

      Edit: I forgot treason/insurrection? No.

‘If he’s unlucky, this could be the defining issue of his second term — a term which isn’t even one-quarter completed.’

The country is about to collapse into a depression with a side of civil unrest and we’re not even a year into this sh*t show.

    17. Let’s not pretend they didn’t know he is a pedophile. They are only trying to cover their asses now. We will see if they are willing to act after it’s all public.

    18. „the only way I will lose the election is if I’m caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy“ as we say in the deep south…

It’s a really basic question for all them:

Do you want to hitch your career to a man who is desperately trying to hide the Epstein Files?

What is he hiding and do you want to risk your career on it?

    20. Illuminated12 on

There needs to be an investigation into Epstein’s death during Trumps term. Can’t believe there aren’t more questions being raised with the new information that has came to light.

Where is the Epstein Didnt kill himself crowd at?

    21. For me it’s too late.

You have maybe a small handful of republicans out of the entire party that you maybe can see giving them a chance to continue to hold their position post-Trump.

But 98% of the party needs to go. They’ve enabled him every step of the way, didn’t vet him properly as a candidate, fought oversight that would have gotten to the bottom of this sooner, covered up for his crimes outside of the Epstein variety, and now can’t act shocked and surprised when this evidence comes out.

America desperately needs to come to terms with the fact that an entire political party belongs in jail. I’m not gonna play the both sides game where since republicans poisoned the well with their word games by misusing them or throwing them around so much that they lost meaning.

There’s a decades+ worth of evidence as to why they are a plague on this country.

There’s a score of Dems that can go with them

    22. I wonder how many are thinking about Liz Cheney’s words, „Tonight, I say this to my Republican colleagues who are defending the indefensible: There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain.“ Maybe they need a reminder!!!!

    23. FigureFourWoo on

The only thing they care about is themselves. They have no loyalty to anyone. They didn’t even want Trump and were vehemently against him until they realized he could win because of his MAGA followers.

Self-interests will always come first, followed closely by the interest of their donors. As soon as they see the tide turning, they will abandon Trump. They might even impeach him. If Trump is out of power, JD Vance takes over, so they’ve still got a Republican in the White House, which is all they truly care about beyond their self-interests and donation money.

Realistically, it’ll probably never get to the point of impeachment. If the Epstein files sink Trump, the Republicans won’t have to turn on him unless he refuses to resign. That’s what Nixon did when he saw the writing on the wall. Trump, Vance and the GOP will likely make a backroom deal for Trump to resign and get a full pardon. Then Trump can retire with all the millions/billions he’s pilfered from the American people without ever facing any consequences for what he did.

    24. SureNeedleworker2363 on

Are they though? Are they? If anything they’re gonna pivot the same way Megyn Kelly did and go- „uuh- ACTUALLY being attracted to teenagers isn’t pedophilia!“ They are **not** gonna change. They’re going to go down with Trump. The GOP is a cult.

    25. They could have neutered Trump completely in 2021, by convicting him and voting to ban him from office. Yeah, the base would have been pissed, but they always fall in line eventually.

    26. ENORMOUS_HORSECOCK on

It’s interesting to pause and look around right now and think to yourself, this is the world before everyone fully understood that Trump gave Bill Clinton a beej.

    27. Another clickbait title saying the same thing „TRUMP IS LOSING SUPPORT!!!“ all the while his supporters work themselves up into another level of brown-nosing cult mentality.

I will believe it when ***ANY*** republican initiates impeachment proceedings. Until then, absolutely every single one is a MAGA cultist.

Insane to think there are people who would happily remove their own spine for a pedo

    29. OpenScienceNerd3000 on

They’re gonna back him till the end and nothing is going to happen to him.

    30. DaydreamsForFun on

As Epstein consumes the White House, Republicans are starting to think twice about absolute their own political futures and doing what is best for them.
