Das ist vielleicht eine dumme Frage.
Ich bin derzeit für ein paar Tage in Helsinki. Ich weiß, dass Helsinki für Nordlichter eher südlich liegt und dass sie im Winter häufiger auftreten, allerdings wird derzeit prognostiziert, dass heute Nacht ein gewaltiger geomagnetischer Sturm die Erde treffen wird. Besteht die Möglichkeit, dass es passieren könnte? Ich habe sie noch nie gesehen und es wäre großartig.
Gibt es Websites oder Ressourcen, die die Wahrscheinlichkeit verfolgen?

During geomagnetic storm its possible to see them in southern Finland if it hits on northern hemisphere. Sometimes media has even notified it would probably happen, sadly every time I have had to go sleep earlier or it has been cloudy.

Probability of seeing it is 56% in Helsinki in the next hour However, it won’t be dark for a while and there is scattered cloud.

[Yes.](https://yle.fi/a/74-20088111) Trying to find a location with minimal light pollution will be the main challenge though. It needs to be really dark to properly see them.

As by the German media, they are expecting the polar lights to be visible even in parts of Germany (the parts that are not covered by clouds, mostly 😉 so you should be fine in Helsinki.
Your main challenge is the light polution in the city. If you can, go somewhere out of town, where the sky is really dark (and with a clear view to the North, of course).
Auroras are just as frequent during the summer time, you just can’t see them because the sun overshines them.

In Espoo about 45 mins ago. Phone was dying and street lights were bright, so didn’t look like his in real life. But they could be made out

Haaga, just before midnight. Looked like a very soft violet hue on the sky, but showed up strong on my camera’s night setting.
