In Sweden many of the immigrants can have drivers license for free. Also almost every immigrant somehow have the newest iPhone. A Somalian mother with 5 kids can have 4500 $ tax free money monthly, because they are immigrants. Swedish families get maybe 10-25% of that. Maximum.
And can you guess what? That pisses hard working Swedes off, who get 35% of that money for working their ass off…

I see people arguing about everything here and ignoring why this is happening. This is happening because these people are driving 80,000lb vehicles and don’t know basic laws and fail the english proficiency test after they kill people.
This was allowed because of a false trucker shortage, they wanted to flood the market with drivers to keep the freight rates low. People love cheap stuff, all of it arrives by truck.

These are commercial driver’s licenses. As in what grants someone the ability to legally transport up to 80,000 pounds of steel at 70mph on our public roadways. Legal or illegal immigrant makes no difference. Short of a specialized visa the vast majority of legal immigrants coming from third world countries can easily conceal who they are and what background they come from.
If I, as an American citizen, cannot acquire a commercial driver’s license if I have a twenty year old D.U.I. on my record why should we be handing them out to someone we have no way of doing the same due diligence into their past on?

How was it possible to give non citizens a cdl in the first place? My God I absolutely hate how this country has states that screw over their own citizens that violate minor traffic laws but illegals can somehow get a cdl and the law doesn’t even flinch. I had to get a title for a vehicle and I fought the DMV for a year because they couldn’t „verify“ I was the owner but if I was an illegal they probably would have given it to me no questions asked

I fear that in the future, when all of the “illegal immigrants” are gone, white collar workers who got laid off because of AI will be driving the trucks and picking the fruits while a certain country rebuilds a future city from our tax dollars all because they’ve blackmailed and controlled our male dominated government for decades
