      Skeptical. Intelligence defined as what?

I’d believe our working memories can be influenced by genetics; poor working memory is a signature trait of ADHD.

But I’m pretty sure anything linking genetics to „intelligence“ either has a sensationally reductive headline, or is ethically problematic.

    2. If height is primarily genetic, it would be surprising that intelligence is not at least partially influenced by genes. Perhaps, gene editing will allow any deltas for individuals who desire higher IQs.

I’d recommend looking at the Wikipedia article on heritability of IQ. It spells out that something like 80% of intelligence is heritable. Meaning either genetic pathway or something similar. This is largely based on studies of identical twins separated at birth.

What is a „Genetic Score“? Did they find specific genes or not?

„The study involved more than 500 healthy young adults, most of whom were university students. Each participant completed a series of well-validated intelligence tests“

Nowhere they mentioned how they accounted for environmental variables. Article is just a good way to get eugenics bois all happy unfortunately

Oh boy, the eugenicists are gonna have a BALL with this one. Also, IQ tests are quackery and I’m really baffled they’re still in use today.
