Mother Earth is prepared to shake us parasites right off. The sad thing is, we are going to take many species with us.

Who cares about the temperature rising ? I just bought a cool new plastic toy that’s going to entertain me for at least an hour before I throw it away.

I find it funny when all the politicians and puppets on TV tell the people to recycle and “do their part” but it’s the elites at the top who are literally destroying earth while wagging their finger at us every day people. The wealthy only care about what’s in their bank

Really gotta start adding „by 20XX“ to these headlines so it’s easier for people to comprehend. This seems like poor science communication

Was there ever a reason why any of us should have thought that we were *not* still on track?

I don’t have kids, I don’t own a car, I live in an „efficient“ building (relatively speaking) in a high density city (tends to be less wasteful than suburbs), use a heat pump, recycle what I can and consume as little as possible.

Not much else I can do. For those with kids who will go through inferno after I likely die of causes unrelated to global warming… I’m sorry for the idiots who got us there, and I wish you all luck.

South East Asia has been seeing more frequent and stronger storms each year. The storm season is arriving sooner and getting longer. It’s getting harder with the gust and heavy flooding

I hope we find a way to adapt soon

    14. That tram has already left! Without serious and balanced action from our governments, forget it!

    15. Enjoy today, because for 1 reason or another you may not have a tomorrow. You can’t control someone else’s behavior, you can only sh@t them.

    16. >The world is now anticipated to heat up by 2.6C above preindustrial times by the end of the century

      Ah, not my problem! /s

Catastrophic? Please. If we simply stop measuring temperature the problem goes a way. Do your research people!

COP 900 or whatever still trying to prevent 1.5. LOL.

      We’re fucked.

    19. Catastrophic? We will see.

No country has done anything meaningful. No one cares. Keep consuuuummmiiinnnggg.

Reminds me of that quote from the film The Day the Earth Stood Still:

Mr. Wu: I’m afraid they are not a reasonable race. I’ve been living amongst them for seventy years now. I know them well.

Mr. Wu: Any attempt to intercede with them would be futile. They are destructive, and they won’t change.

Mr. Wu: The tragedy is, they know what’s going to become of them.

Mr. Wu: They sense it. But they can’t seem to do anything about it.
