This guy has been such a toxic influence on the Canadian political sphere. I don’t know if I’ve ever heard him say anything positive.
Even in interviews where he’s trying to be chill and reasonable, you can tell he’s just been hateful and angry his entire life and thinks he’s entitled to the job for some reason.
I could MAYBE get past his personality if he was a rockstar…but he’s done basically nothing as an elected official and doesn’t even have any non-political experience like his predecessor did.
I cannot for the life of me understand how some Canadians can listen to this guy talk and think “hell yeah, that’s who we need”, but then I realize that basically everyone I’ve ever met who has professed admiration for Pierre Poilievre are people who have only ever cared about sticking it to the libs.

The conservative party doesn’t give its leaders second chances, except Poilievre.
He even gets second ridings. Lol

I think he’ll hold on for another cycle and that it will look increasingly desperate and chaotic. But I don’t think he can become prime minister now under any circumstances, too much of the electorate can’t stand him and he looks and sounds too unhinged.
Worst of all is that he looks really weak and nobody will feel sorry for him because of the way he has always acted. I think most Conservatives won’t be sad to see him go. They are hyper aggressive towards their own people and it’s really strange and unsettling.
If the party is smart enough to turf him this will be one spectacular fall.

Well, it’s just that there’s not substance. He’s not even really a conservative because there is no real core of values. He’s just a brown nosing edgelord who seized the moment on pent up post-covid angst.
I mean what exactly did he run on? What was his actual vision?
