      Crazy that we live in an era where it’s normal to wonder whether a show that’s been running on edgy humor for 30 years is going to be censored by the govt.

      Why wouldn’t they? 

      This has been their operating standard for years now. I honestly don’t think a threat of cancellation is going to do Jack shit.

      If they were canceled for good and were told South Park is done I dont think they’d care. They’ve gotten more out of that show then they probably dreamed of so it makes sense, just make the stories you want to make.

      It’s almost like South Park’s ratings are excellent and Colbert’s weren’t? Strange.

      They got like a billion dollars, why would they care if the show gets canceled after a quarter century of work?

      They have Fuck You money and their legacy is set. After 27 seasons, I don’t think they give a shit about being cancelled.

      Because it would cost WAY too much money to cancel their contract. It’s always about money…..

      Well…yeah.

      Cancelling them now would cost Paramount a fortune, probably at least a billion of the contract they just signed if not getting taken for the whole thing.

      To say nothing of the already damaged reputation after Colbert. Is they tried now, it would be corporate suicide.

      Cancel South Park, see what happens. South Park is legitimately a part of the zeitgeist in a way none of these lame talk show hosts are.

      It would cost $1B+ to cancel their contract. They obviously have more security than Colbert who is got $15M/year
