C-permits doesnt expire. Most likely you will just get the new credit card one. I just went there and filled in the forms and took my picture. Bring the old permit. The new permit will arrive in the post.
What is your country of origin ? They write it quite confusingly. I had to give them tons of paperwork to go from B to C after 5 years (slovak citizen so the bad part of EU). But they only inform you that the actual ID validity is ending and want to issue a new one. I believe you do not have to „apply“ again.
> shall I send these forms already via post […] or we need to take them along the day of the invite?
What did they tell you when you asked them?
well what does it say on the form and the letter you received? i am pretty sure that they either instruct you to return the form or write that you have to bring them along
Stadt or Gemeinde? If Stadt, you can post it to migrationsamt in advance, and if gemeinde, then you have to go to the Gemeinde and submit it there and pay the fees there. As its a renewal and no change happened, you wont have to submit supporting documents.
Also, once you post it to migrationsamt (or hand it to gemeinde) you will receive a second letter for appointment for biometrics (unless via gemeinde, then they would give you the appointment while there).
I remembered this paper was worded in a very confusing way. I called the office and asked them, if I recall correctly I brought the paper on the day together with all other documents required. But to be sure, call them and ask, they’ve always been very helpful
