Djokovic can be described in many words, but the words “false patriot” and “national disgrace” are the last that are on my mind.
I was never a fan, but he gained my respect for supporting the students.
On state propaganda tv they called him a failed tennis player later on he won his 101st title.
For people reading the title only: This is only in the eyes of the regime.
The people don’t hate him at all. In fact, he’s gained popularity since he supported the students‘ movement.

As a federer fan and not really super hyped about Djokovic as a person, I respect his support for the students movement!
The EU and its constituents are awefully silent about Vucic and this whole situation. Makes their other foreign policy adresses (i.e. gaza or Orban etc) kind of ring hollow, when they are so selective about it.
