The Xbox mismanagement over the last decade or so has been a generational fumble

Where are all the absolute mad Xbox fanboys now? Nowhere to be seen 🙂

Their strategy doesn’t prioritise hardware anymore so makes sense

    4. As someone who jumped in the Xbox and then the 360, I’d say that was the better years of Microsoft. They’ve been shooting themselves in the foot ever since. When they started to brand themselves as „everything is an Xbox“, that was the final nail in the coffin.

I believe they can have a spot in the market if their next console covers all prior generations in backwards compatibility. If they can pull that off, I would definitely upgrade my 360 but until then I’m happily gaming on it.

Man, all I remember is the console wars being flamed online… Knew I was on the right side.

    6. I’ve never owned a PS until the PS5. I’ve had every generation of Xbox except the one x/s.

The exclusives were just too much to ignore this generation and I play it more than I play Xbox. I haven’t played a game on Xbox in months.

This is not a good thing….

competition keeps the consumer from completely getting fucked over, and now Xbox, the only viable competitor, is stepping down…

    8. And it somehow has a worse game catalog than all of them. Thank God you can play ps4 games on it. That’s been the only thing that’s justified my purchase.

I mean, PS5 has a lot better exclusvies… I mean Xbox got what Starfield and Halo? and those were pretty bad.

Yeah well when Xbox keeps producing shit quality consoles people eventually stop buying them. Who would’ve thought.

    11. Sad to think I might have to buy one to play GTAVI. Why can’t they release it simultaneously. 😢

I don’t think this is because the PS5 itself is any good. Both it and the current Xbox have fuckall for exclusives and neither are really worth it. This is due to how badly the Xbone lost to PS4. It’s like how the Dreamcast failed due to people getting turned off of Sega after its previous crappy and unwanted consoles.

    13. That’s sad. I liked the Xbox and the 360. Bought them multiple times when one would break.

    14. Microsoft hasn’t been great at hardware.. apart from maybe their Surface lineup?

Microsoft owns 13 of the biggest gaming franchises, Call of Duty is one of them.

Their business model has changed, gamers are not their only customers anymore.
