God, will you make me pass through 3 more years of this rubbish? Won’t you take Trump like you took Elijah and Enoch? He is a Christian and should come be with you

3 more years of this madness unless something changes. I will never forgive Republicans for this.

The quote from the podcast transcript is genuinely concerning. It’s so obvious that these far-right groups would love to be given permission and an excuse to shoot and kill minorities and leftists

    4. His name is Elmer Stewart Rhodes III, and I wish they’d call him that in articles. Also I wish they’d point out that he shot himself in the eye while being careless.

Oath keepers are going to start bounty hunting immigrants, mark my words

    6. The dumbfucks founded on fighting a tyrannical government. Frauds like every other Gadsden flag waiving fool.

Convicted of seditious conspiracy, pardoned, and back at it again. Unamerican criminals.

      I infiltrated these terrorists.

Bobby and the other OK board of directors called Rhodes „Stewie“, like Stewie Griffin, because he’s a pompous douche with infantile fantasies of world domination. In the recordings of BoD meetings I released they sometimes use the phrase „Stewie’s treason oopsie“ which is what we called J6.

So that’s what the other militia gooners think of this guy.

Is this the guy whose young adult children all hate him and turned him in and now fear for their safety now that he’s out?

    10. Hey look! It’s a cowardly wimp cosplaying as a „tough guy“! What a poseur…

The headline severely undersells what Rhodes is trying to do here, which is to form paramilitaries that the President can supposedly federalize:

      >Right now, under federal statutes, President Trump can call us up as the militia if he sees it necessary…And the militia is all of us. So the National Guard is part of the militia, which is why it’s completely lawful for him to use the National Guard as he has, and he should do more of that, I think, across the country…So President Trump is well within his power and authority under the Constitution to bring out the militia — all of the militia, not just the National Guard but the rest of us too. And I think he should.

Legally, yes, the militia is compromised of both the organized (the National Guard) and unorganized (federal law is every able-bodied man of at least 17 and under 45 years of age, some states are broader) militias. He’s claiming that Trump can federalize even the unorganized militia.

Scary part is I bet this isn’t just him coming up with this idea. It doesn’t bode well if there are people behind the scenes talking about pulling this off.

Every state has laws against paramilitaries (and explicitly outlaw forming armed groups that practice drills with the intent to act as law enforcement). They really need to start enforcing those.

What “oath” is he keeping? Trump et al. have trampled over the constitution.

„oath keepers“ is a strange thing to name your insurrectionist group.

    14. So like, Trump didn’t uphold his presidential oath.

Are they going after him or…? What oath do they keep?

    15. Gee, who would have thought that Trump’s Presidential immunity which was a lovely gift from the Supreme Court would be passed out to Trump’s private personal group of domestic terrorists.

    16. Can someone arrest this fucker for a state level crime – you know he is breaking the law somewhere

    17. samsonsreaper on

This thing called “laws” i guess that is just a concept of a plan in the US these days.

Once reconstituted, hopefully he and his band of fascist insurrectionists can go back to jail or under whatever rock they crawled up from once the next (new) administration is elected in 2028.

    19. Once again, Democrats learned nothing from history. Reconstruction proved that, when given no more than a wrist slap, traitors will just rebuild and try again. The best solution for Jan 6 was the same as after the Civil War. Try them all for treason or sedition and yeet them into a dark hole or a 6ft hole.
