This is totally wrong, japan should be dominant party, russia should be one party

    2. Doombringer1968 on

The democrats and republicans aren’t the only political parties in the US.

how is the limit between „two-party“ and „multi-party“ defined ? cause a lot of countries have two dominant parties and a few minor ones who’ve never actually led a government

egypt is still a military junta too, japan is a dominant party system

    5. Incorrect for Belarus. There is no dominant party, the country is ruled by a parti-less personalistic regime. Actually there are multiple parties (both pro-governmental and oppositional) none of them having any influence at all, they don’t even have a lot of MPs.

    6. I’d recommend reporting the post and account then, as it’s a vague/misleading/false map designed to farm engagement and karma

to reiterate older comments of mine

“op is a regular poster (karma/engagement farmer) of misinformation or just straight up propaganda in this and many other subs. (A lot of it being Russian propaganda, or just pro Russian and/or anti American)

They also tend to use very suspicious, out of date, false, manipulated, and/or misleading maps and sources for said maps.

As I say every time I catch one of their posts, report both the account and post for spam and/or violating the subs and websites guidelines”

By to what extent do political parties in Iran even matter to begin with.

    8. South Africa should be dominant party system. I believe it’s always been led by the same party.

„multi-party“ for Canada is a joke. Coalitions aren’t a thing in Canadian politics and 90% of the seats belong to either the Liberal or Conservative party. The next is a party exclusive to Quebec and the NDP is a joke nobody takes seriously.

Canada also uses first past the post voting.

So Ukraine is „Multi-Party“ even though they haven’t held elections due to the war?

What’s the justification for some of these labels?

Edit- Also, why is Denmark „Multi-Party“ while Greenland (a territory of Denmark) is ‚Dominant party“?

Greenland? I thought there were like 3 major parties and a few minor ones?

    12. Is it really „Multi Party“ when the sole purpose of the third place party is to make their base region an independent country.

    13. How are you drawing the line between dominant party, 2 party and multi-party? South Africa has been run by the same party for 30 years but this shows them as multi-party.

Putting Russia in dominant part instead of non partisan seems like Kremlin bullshit. That fucker absolutely is not just dominant.

The UK is really a two-party-system going through a weird identity crisis right now

    16. „Dominant party“ More like a cliche of individuals controlling every aspect of life. All the media. All the money.

    17. Australia is effectively a 2-party system but the right wing is destroying itself right now so who knows what will happen in the future

The US is not “two party” – it’s multi-party but two of them dominate, and the two that do arose from other parties in the past.

Communism lovers when Russia, Belarus, Vietnam, Laos, Venezuela, North Korea, Cuba and China are all non-democratic: “Bro that’s not real communism”

    20. AdProper8456 on

I don’t see the US as a two-party state. It has one party, the Business Party, which has 2 factions. The uber wealthy make sure they hedge their bets and supply both sides with cash. Total policy control.

    21. Turkey is nothing better than Hungary. Should be dominant party as well, there is no way Erdogan is ever letting go…

    22. Bavaria is basically a dominant party system. Its ruling party has been in power for longer than the Kims have in North Korea. Since it’s part of Germany and the states only have limited power it’s not really comparable to actual countries, though.
