I do think the ICE raid on the plant in Georgia was objectively them making a mistake. If they could revisit it all, ICE probably wouldn’t be directed to do it by the powers that be – because the optics are terrible, the backlash actual, and the benefit non-existant.

That said, this kind of astronomical fuckup happens because of incompetence, corruption, and putting the wrong people into power without holding them responsible.

Unlike in the past, South Korea has becom so powerful militarily with its own defense industries that if the push come to shove, it can probably fight North Korea without US „help“ under Trump.

They can really give US pain by unilaterally stopping investment and pull back funding if they want to go nuclear.
