    1. I know that most NDP members here want nothing to do with Engler, but it does seem like tensions can emerge depending on whether his candidacy gets approved. He’s raised a lot of money, even if it’s outside the official process, and has some support from the very left of the party.

Maybe someone more in the know might be able to offer any insight on what the deal with him is?

He was fundraising as an NDP candidate before he’d even sent in the application to run, which is most generously very much not in the spirit of campaign finance laws.

I don’t think the NDP will lose a lot if they keep a Rwandan genocide denier off the ballot.

I would be shocked if he passed vetting. His tweet about Jews controlling the media and his Rwandan Genocide denialism alone are enough reason to deny.

I suspect he wants to be denied. It gives him more credence with his flying monkeys and anti-establishment zealots.

He seems like he’ll pull 10% on the first ballot but lose out after McQuail and maybe Tanille Johnston if her shtick doesn’t take hold.
