    1. If it was in a rural region id say it would be high.

In Oslo wages are higher overall and they have to compete paywise to get staff.

I got no higher education and my offers from the Oslo region is 1.3-1.5, as they have to compete for people.
That is still not enough to make up for difference in cost of living tho.

1 million nok is not a lot these days in a HCOL area that Oslo is.

The question is how can they have 42 leaders with a top salary?

Measuring if a particular employee is worth it based on an incident makes no sense. Just like you aren’t responsible for every outcome in your company, they aren’t either. Besides, incidents happen everywhere and you should measure ability and willingness to learn from them, not that they happen. Million plus salaries are fairly common in competitive fields, shouldn’t be something that raises eyebrows anymore

    4. The funny thing is I assume a lot of the journalists writing this makes over 1 million a year. So how many non leaders at NRK earn over 1 million?

What I do wonder is why you have all these leaders in the first place.

If you compare it to other countries with similar job description, it is not high. If they cant compete with the private sector we are going to end up having incompetent idiots running everything.

Yes it is fair. We have to pay for quality.

    6. The salary is totally fair, I’m more concerned about why they need so many leaders.

It’s a tech company in Oslo, they’re just paying the market rate for skilled people. 1.7 MIL for a director is par for the course
