    1. There should be a photo of Johnson in the dictionary under ‚the Peter Principle‘.

But but he said he would!!

Reminder 3 of the 8 who crossed the aisle get major funding from airlines and/or big resorts i.e. tourism that would be fucked by the airline shutdowns. Corps called in their favours and pulled the leash.

Let’s see, sided with republicans to open the government on a fucking promise. Snap benefits are still being held hostage by the trump regime. Said speaker of the house will surely double cross the Democratic Party because again! There is no trusting republicans! PERIOD! golly gee! I think the democratic party just screwed themselves! Big time!

GOP doing what they do best . lie, dems should fullstop and vote against this. honestly at this point the idiot dems that voted this yesterday could save face since johnson seems unwilling to even let the ACA come to the floor

    5. LADataJunkie on

I am so sick of the pinky promises. Do the Democrats have any brains at all?

    6. Instead of bitching about what we knew was gonna happen, we need to work on getting these geriatric center right dems out. We need less Schumers and more Mamdanis in the senate and congress overall. Also, what the fuck New Hampshire?

    7. Democrats have been played again by the Republicans, who have done this before. We were in the lead in the polls regarding the shutdown because what the Republicans were holding out for was abhorrent to the majority of the country. Remember. Johnson’s refusal to open up the House was to avoid swearing in Grijalva, who would be the vote needed to deal with the Epstein mess. But the Democrats, at this point, had the upper hand arguing for extending the extensions to ACA (Obamacare) and for releasing SNAP benefits. Some states even covering those benefits for their residents. We had it all. Just had to wait it out. But no. We caved — AGAIN. If Schumer thinks Johnson will honor having a later vote on ACA, I have a bridge to sell him. Get new blood in the Senate. And while you’re at it, let’s upgrade the House and Presidency too. I have never been so pissed since I cast my first vote 58 years ago.

Johnson wants to get rid of healthcare for Americans. Stay on point people.

Also Trump raped kids and Johnson’s tracker is a buzzing.

    9. Chance the GOP refuses to hold to the agreement (which requires amending the budget to guarantee the ACA vote), and the vote just fails?

GOP would end up looking pretty bad in that case. Democrats cave for nothing and they still won’t open the government.

    10. Dem politicians, if you want to understand your sub 30% approval rating, here you go. All that suffering for fucking nothing.

But isn’t the ACA vote what was part of the negotiations? I don’t get it

      > “Johnson Won’t Commit to ACA Ballot”

lol, absolutely fucking clowning the Democrats while sticking it to working class Americans repeatedly. We have no representation in Washington DC. They’re just funneling our money upward so they can live lives of luxury while we’re ground into dust.

    13. Brief_Night_9239 on

I guess those 8 idiots would try to show they are willing to be the bridge when in the end the Republicans would fuck them. Just like Schumer did earlier with his 1 year extension of ACA benefits.

have fun with the economy crashing because people not going to have money to spend . I know I have to come up with 400 a month for healthcare and I only make 2000 a month. I’m going to the doctor and they ask me for my address to send me the bill I am going to give the White House‘s address and tell them , ‘ if you need money ask the GOP since they took my healthcare away “

    15. Ok-disaster2022 on

That’s simple vote no until Johanson commits.

Johnson’s defends pedophile Trump so his goal is to prolong the shutdown anyway to prevent the Epstein files

    16. I honestly hope this will wake people up to the “why the fuck do we need middle men insurance that gouges us at every turn?” argument.

    17. WildlySkeptical on

“Federal workers would also receive back pay with the passage of this bill”. What a fucking joke. That’s literally already IN THE FUCKING LAW. Fed employees are required to be back paid.

Also, any fed employees who were “RIF’d” during the shutdown were done so illegally. A RIF is very clearly defined by law and it was not followed.

Senate Dems folded for literally NOTHING in return.

    18. Confident-Wish555 on

I’m still hoping that they are going for a quarterback sneak – say they’ll vote for the CR, get back in session, swear in Grijalva, vote to release the Epstein Files, then vote no on the CR. Give republicans a little taste of their own backstabbing medicine.

    19. DarkestAir12 on

Fetterman the fraud was one of them. His melted brain and lies need to go.

    20. Salamander-7142S on

Now they will blame the dems for insurance price going up. Watch this space.

    21. Who cares if there will be a vote or not?

The republicans will all vote it down when the time comes and it won’t matter.

    22. JoyfulJoy94 on

Nurses I know have already stated their hospitals are either in a hiring freeze or letting people go due to the lack of future Medicaid funding. Nursing is one of the most in demand/low risk jobs and even they’re not even safe right now. That just goes to show how bad the economy is doing on top of people losing healthcare access. America is not prepared for the widespread healthcare collapse we’re about to have.

    23. Let’s be honest: the dems that caved do not actually care if there’s a vote or not. They just wanted the pressure from their lobbyists to stop

    24. marblecannon512 on

lol wait a minute, wait a minute, okay. If Johnson steps on his own dick, this might have been a good move by Schumer.

Still, fuck chuck, but of the net result is a win, then okay.

    25. thySilhouettes on

Recalling our representatives should be a right. I’m so tired of this shit. No representative should feel safe in their job, they should always be working to make sure the people they represent are happy with what they’re doing.

    26. Lower_Amount3373 on

Okay, so even before the vote happens he’s saying „I’m not going to hold up our end of the deal“ and they’re still going to vote? They’re pathetic.

    27. CheatsySnoops on

This is awful. I knew that energy from the democrat elections would end up going to waste, I knew not to hope. Chump Schumer needs to be removed now, since he refuses to fight fascism when it’s proudly boasting its malice. I don’t know what else could be done for the people and to salvage this train wreck. I don’t know how we could possibly thwart the ultra-rich and fascism without 1789 or 1917. We really need help from other countries.

~~At this rate if we don’t get actual progressives in charge to tell corporations to fuck off and fight fascism, it’ll probably be 50 years from now when the democrats will kowtow to allowing the ultra-rich to cannibalize on us to stimulate their utterly burnt out dopamine sensors…~~

    28. Lucy keeps pulling up the football, but Charlie Brown keeps running for it thinking this time will be different. Good grief!

    29. Forsaken_Hermit on

If he doesn’t commit to it then the bottom 8 Democrats should withdraw their votes to reopen the government. They won’t but they should.

Thune: “We’re ready to discuss the subsidies. Go fuck yourselves, losers. End of discussion!”
