    1. In this essay, i will examine how Disney regressing from Robin Hood to Officer Nick Wilde as means of vulpine representation is a direct indicator of their slide towards racism…

It’s weird that somehow a celebrity having morals is refreshing these days.

I can respect that he actually said this.

Most of them are so venal they would never even dare to articulate it.

Disney is like, we we’re perfectly happy with a democratic oligarchy.

    5. Not calling him out in particular, but I remember being disappointed that more celebrities weren’t publicly drawing these lines as the drama was actually playing out. Maybe there was stuff going on behind the scenes.

I made this comment in the deleted r/movies thread, since the headline really buries the lede, but:

Well, he said that two days after Kimmel was initially suspended and now is saying this:

      >Isaac now admitted to GQ that perhaps he should not have made such an opinion public, explaining: “Yeah. That was a real likable quote. Jesus Christ. Y’know, people ask you things, you say stuff, you don’t really think about it that much. I said a slightly dickish thing.”

That’s all noted in this article, just not the headline. Hard to give up the Mouse’s lucrative paychecks I guess.

    7. This was yet another reason why they ultimately had to cave. Hollywood is liberal. Disney is a big part of hollywood. They need to keep that constituency happy too. Even if kimmel cost them some money.

Late night tv is absolutely dying, don’t get it twisted. I don’t think Kimmel and Fallon will be on the air forever. Network TV is dying. Young people don’t watch it, like AT ALL.

So they’re going to continue to bleed viewers over time and those shows are going to end eventually. And that’s fine, if it’s just for business reasons. Doign it to appease a dictator is wrong and everyone was right to shit all over disney, ABC, Sinclair and Nexstar for it.

    8. I’m not bothered about Poe Dameron. As long as he works with Marvel for Moon Knight, I’m good.

    9. I am sad about what they did in the sequels. I keep trying to objectively judge them, but they just don’t make any sense. So many bad writing decisions made… I love Star wars, but this was a lot to forgive.

I wish he’d had the wherewithal to call them “The Empire” instead of vaguely referencing facism. I think it’s important for these people to grasp it in terms of they’ll get. That they aren’t the good guys.
