      So really does your state have one, two, or more than two reps. That’s what this map is showing.

      Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas accounting for 10% all senators is just bonkers.

      Why is DC blue? A non-voting delegate to the house does not count as a representative, so DC should be yellow because it has 0 reps and 0 senators, an equal number.

      I thought this was going to be a map of which states are overrepresented, underrepresented, or correctly represented in the Senate based on their populations as a fraction of the country overall. That’d be more interesting.

      Basically, the overrepresented states would be any with less than 2% of the total population, or 342,034,432 / 50 = 6,840,689. That’s 33 out of 50 states.

      The state closest to accurate representation in the Senate is Indiana, at about 6.9 million people.
