I see this and think of California recently forcing people to stop watering their lawns to the point they died. Fining people who watered more than the city would allow. In the eighties it was another huge push with water conservation. Stuck in my head is the statement „if is yellow it’s mellow, if it’s brown it goes down“. Nobody likes droughts.

Prayers won’t bring water back to them but the death of capitalism might

I wish we lived in a different world where Iran wasn’t an evil piece of shit terrorist government and America was in such friendly terms with them we flew in aid and relief.

Maybe instead of funding terrorists and sending drones to Russia they could have built a couple desalination plants 🪴

I’m sure the Ukrainian kids that died as a result of your drones are sad about your people dying of thirst

The regime is so good at protecting itself that you’d be hardly to blame if you didn’t know this crisis has been decades in the making and that they’ve just now reached a new phase. From managed decline to intensified managed decline. Lots of smaller cities/provinces are going to just have their resources diverted to the main population centers/military and basically sacrificed for the shitty regimes self preservation.

In Spiral Dynamics prayers and rituals are a tribal (2nd) stage. Which for a country like Iran with its history going thousands of years back, is a tragedy and degradation. All of that is healthy in a certain condition, though announcing it as a tool?… no nation should keep a tyrant on the throne. Especially a religious one

    9. It’s 2025 and humans still believe we can pray our way out of the climate collapse.
