I am stunned by how quickly the 180 on her has happened. She was, like a year ago? A giant draw who was seen as one of the sex symbols on the planet. Now she is a conservative (who don’t even support her where she needs it), ‚box office poison‘, and dating a 40 year old named Scooter.
Whoever her PR people are should be fired and maybe her agent too but I guess she does keeps getting work.
She thought she was a serious actress lol. „Take them titties out or get lost“ was what America apparently collectively said.
Apparently her insane social media commentary has overcome the popularity she had amongst those who liked her solely for her rack.
Which is impressive. Both her rack and the fact that those shallow people aren’t still supporting her.
Or it might be that type doesn’t go to the movies unless it’s a Marvel or Star Wars flick.

Im in no way, shape or form defending Sydney, but we should also blame the terrible marketing of this movie?? I feel like I’ve heard nothing about it, and I’ve heard quite a lot about literally every other thing in Sydneys life
She’s not very appealing outside of being attractive, kind of like Henry Cavill, he doesn’t do too well at the box office either.
And Biopics are really played out at this point.

It’s a shame for Christy Martin, as her story seems one worth watching. Admittedly, I find Sweeney so off-putting that I’d be disinclined to go and see it in theatre.

I’m sure the producers of those very expensive Gundam, Outrun, and Split Fiction movies are looking to get some of those “creative differences” in place
The film isn’t bad and her performance is decent, but this could have been a Hulu or Prime original.
The movie looked incredibly generic, but the main reason I didn’t watch it is because of her. This is also her 3rd or 4th movie of the year which has flopped. She’s on a roll of awful movies right now

She was never a good actress to begin with. Decent at best.
But she has so many fans online that support her specifically for her body of work.
Many actresses make it onto the scene based on their looks. The bar for their acting skills is lower, but there is still a bar.
Her acting skills are completely abysmal. Her on-screen chemistry seems non existant also.
I think the people who are saying her box office downfall is due to her conservative stances, are just trying to deflect and accept how terrible of an actress she is.

This is the third time this year alone that I literally did not once hear about a Sydney Sweeney vehicle until after it became a box office bomb. Granted I’m not the most tuned in to movie news, but still.
