      Perched majestically above the Rhine River, Marksburg Castle stands as one of Germany’s most perfectly preserved medieval fortresses… I was fortunate to capture this timeless beauty on a perfect summer day, when the light played off its ancient stones just right. The way it rises from the lush forest below reminds me why I fell in love with European architecture…
