This almost seems like a self-fulfilling prophecy in that this kind of talk will attract more and more capital investments which will keep the prices rising.
That’s what I would say too if my company stood to lose 100’s of billions if not more from an AI bubble collapse while quietly moving my money and investments elsewhere.
Yeah, I’m sure Bear Stearns was just as confident in 2008…
Bubble or not it’s equally stupid to not have some money in the game.
Ah, so that’s the headline this week, eh? Next week we’ll read the exact opposite sentiment from a different CEO.
Weren’t they one of the primary causes of the 2008 housing bubble?
Sounds like pre bubble talk if I ever heard it lol
What would you say if all your money was bet on AI not being a bubble?
i kinda buy it, every public company just gave earnings calls where they said they were capacity constrained and turning away clients while growing rapidly and having healthy margins, and those are legally binding claims.
if theres a bubble its in private markets, chip stock earnings, or hasn’t happened yet
alternatively if ai suddenly turned out to be complete BS and these companies didn’t have to spend 80-120b a year on capex their stocks would go up not down.
Yes why is someone telling you something, what is their motivation. Example Sam Altman, interesting guy, but does he have an agenda?
> During the 2008 financial crisis, Goldman was criticized for allegedly misleading its investors and profiting from the collapse of the mortgage market.
You mean this Goldman Sachs?
When they start coming out trying to deny things you know what’s coming..
I’ll follow the guy that predicted the 2008 housing crash whilst banks were saying all was good….
[Guy who predicted the housing crash has an AI prediction ](https://www.reddit.com/r/technology/s/rxzoi2AiPR)
What is the business model that makes AI profitable without investor money?
Last year AI companies had huge losses. Open AI wanted government bailout. Perplexity spent 165% of revenue last year.
Without a profitable business mone, once investors money are out, they will go bankrupt.
I think „bubble“ is a little misleading? „Cliff“ makes more sense. Once unemployment due to AI reaches its downward slope, the crash will be like the dot.com crash, just 100 times worse. And we’re looking at the peak very soon. A cliff that’s Mt Everest size, without a safety net. There are already students now, that are unsure if there’ll be ANY jobs in their field…..ever again.
translation: we are not done offloading our positions, need more time, thanks.
„Healthcare Innovations“, you mean like making Healthcare a Public Service like every other decent country on Earth?
Im so tired of the Corpo and their sweet talk
A bit of basic math says the top AI companies need to earn $1Trillion per year each based on amount invested so far… for context Microsoft Office, the biggest business product in the world today, pulls in $95B per year.
Yup all the smart money is going to AI and energy so please buy all these stocks that our clients are honestly absolutely not trying to unload before the bubble bursts.
Company that created previous bubble says there is no bubble….
You mean to tell me that Goldman „we hate our employees and can’t wait to replace them with AI“ Sachs is an AI Bubble denier? Fucking shocker.
Of course they will say that, regardless of whether or not it’s true. All they care about is getting a slice of their clientele’s wealth.
