Context: A BBC Panorama documentary edited footage of Trump on January 6th to make it look like he directly called for violence.

This was a very stupid and unethical thing to do.

    2. BBC is very biased. More at 11.

But seriously, this puts into question EVERYTHING that they report on.

Why the fuck would you splice together audio that occurred nearly an hour later?

You don’t need to do anything to make Trump look bad. He does it well himself.

It feels like it was biased in both directions over coverage the last couple of years.

The decline into editorializing and monetization has been very clear the last couple of years.

let’s check his bank accounts and see who was paying him other than the bbc

Good. It’s not as though there isn’t enough bollocks going on without having to embellish stuff.

Tim Davie was a Tory placeman (Boris Johnson appointment) and should have been ‚reviewed‘ alongside a few others (Robbie Gibb, John McAndrew and Richard Sharp) when Labour came to power. The posts they fill should be impartial, but there are clear red flags. It wouldn’t be the first time Tories have been appointed to senior BBC positions, but some were held to be doing the job impartially and able to throw off their previous influences in the pursuit of fulfilling their new roles

BBC capitulating to Trump wasn’t on my 2025 WTF list but it doesn’t surprise me. Boris Johnson being wrapped up in this is also not surprising. I don’t believe the BBC is needed anymore and neither is Boris. I hope both fade into the ether.

    8. Ironically, he didn’t when there was serious and systemic bias against the left and in favour of the right, i.e the Conservatives and Reform.

Its incredible that he is resigning for clear left wing bias in the organisation and its reporting, yet every comment on here is about their right wing bias 🤣

The Reddit political class sure love the sound of their own voice in the echo chamber 😄

Everyone but Trump is held to standards of honestly and accountability. It makes me sick to see people lose their jobs while he continues to get away with literal murder.

    11. about time honestly the bias has been pretty obvious for years now regardless of which side you think they favor

One side enforces standards while ignoring the fact that the other side has none.
